"I am one of those people who has always loved exercise and being in a team environment.  Becky’s class combines these two fun activities for me.  It is important for me to feel like I am challenged but having fun when I exercise.  I attended the Barre class for the first time last week and loved it.  Becky took us from a gentle stretch into a challenging lower body series of moves.  Just when I thought I was at my limit, she took the class back to an easy stretch to release the muscles we worked.  It was like she was reading my mind and is a really good instructor that knows how to take care of the body with the perfect combinations of challenges, expertise, and fun. "My husband and I met with Becky over the course of six months to better understand how and what modifications in our food intake and mindfulness would help us improve our physical and mental wellbeing. The very first exercise we had was to record 3 days of food intake – this was monumentally beneficial as Becky was able to give us immediate feedback to make small and simple changes to what we were already eating in order to jumpstart our journey toward health. Those first dietary changes brought immediate benefits, and gave us motivation to learn more. "I have been attending Becky’s classes for 3 years. There are several reasons that keep me coming back:  First no two classes have ever been exactly the same! She’s always switching up her routines: from circuit training to floor exercises and weight training with free weights and bands to incorporating Pilates movements into her classes. The second part that makes her classes work so well for me is that for each exercise she gives modifications for your individual needs. I find this so helpful, because then I don’t feel I have to “kill myself to keep up with the group”, I can do the movements within my own comfort level and not risk injury that might set me back. Also, she’ll even give you an exercise completely different from the rest of the group if you have any issues, like with your back or shoulder or wrist for example. Thirdly, her energy and delivery is always so encouraging and upbeat. You never feel like you’re in a hard core “Boot Camp” but you can put in 110 percent if you want to make it your own personal challenge. And almost equally important is the way she ends with a mindful and thoughtful passage, quote or words of encouragement that we can take into our daily lives until we meet with her again. Becky’s classes always started my day on the right foot!"

"I love this one hour interval (core/weight/aerobic) workout class because of the way it makes me feel, body and mind. It can be as intense as I want it to be, or I can move at my own pace.  "I was ecstatic when I saw a ‘Beginners Pilates’ class! This was perfect!!!  However, I was reluctant to sign up – ‘will I hurt my back worse’, ‘will I be the only one in class that has no idea what I’m doing’, ‘will my work get in the way of being able to make every class of the session’…   When I saw that Becky Widschwenter was teaching the class my fear of not knowing what I was doing or doing something incorrectly subsided.  I have participated in a number of Becky’s strength training classes while working in the Waterbury Area.  Becky’s welcoming attitude and detailed instruction allows you to participate safely, and simultaneously motivating you to push yourself beyond your comfort zone. I have attended four consecutive sessions of Becky’s Pilates class and have signed up for a fifth!  I LOVE the class!  Becky challenges us while keeping smiles on our faces throughout class.  She also does a great job of incorporating a variety of exercises, so no class is ever the same.  The biggest benefit I’ve seen from my commitment to the classes is the noticeable reduction in my back pain.  I still have occasional pain, but it’s less frequent and less severe.  My core feels stronger and I actually feel taller!  I can’t wait to see how the effect of doing Pilates does for my broomball swing!!!! "
